I hope this edition of our newsletter finds you well. As you know the law enforcement industry is ever changing. New training and equipment is essential to keep up with the fast pace at which crime and technology collide.
Over the past few weeks, we have sent out several announcements regarding upcoming events, new products and offers. In this newsletter you will find a brief summary of these announcements. Please let us know if you did not receive one or would like more information regarding any of them.
As always please remain vigilant in your officer safety skills. Seek out training whenever possible that will enhance the knowledge to your particular duty function. I realize cost is an issue in these tight economic times, but no excuses. Anything you can come up with will help. Be creative, rehearse traffic stops and how you will react moving to cover should you need to. In between calls, grab a zone partner and find a location you can use to practice clearing techniques. Anything you can do will help. You don't have to spend money and travel somewhere to get training.

Lifetabs
Lifetabs are single use tabs that adhere to the strike plate on a door jam, preventing it from locking, enhancing first responder safety. The brightly colored tab not only allows access to backup units but also serves as an indicator as to the location of the officer. Lifetabs are especially useful in apartment complexes where there may be multiple doors of the same color or poorly numbered doors.
Invented by a cop for cops. Instead of having to rest a door lightly so the lock does not engage or drag something infront of the door, simply place a Lifetab on the strike plate, securing the lock from engaging and letting your back up know where you are.
SWAT-During a team clearing exercise or stealth clearing, Lifetabs are perfect for affixing to the strike plate of any self locking door or just to place on a door you have entered to let the team know where you or an operational unit is. There are multiple uses and Lifetabs are fairly inexpensive, especially when you consider the price of backup. Easily carried in a vest pocket, shirt pocket or tac vest. There would be no reason not to carry some.
