TASER XREP
TASER® XREP™

The TASER XREP Live Round is a self-contained, wireless electronic control device (ECD), that deploys from any 12 gauge pump-action shotgun.  It delivers a similar Neuro Muscular Incapacitation (NMI) bio-effect as the handheld TASER ECDs, but can be delivered to a maximum effective range of 100 feet, combining blunt impact force.  The battery supply is fully integrated into the chassis and provides the power to drive the XREP projectile engine. Sold in 5 packs* to Law Enforcement Agencies Only.  *not sold individually

TASER® XREP™ TRAINING ROUND

The TASER XREP Training Round is similar to the XREP Live Round, but is designed for training purposes only.  The XREP Training Round can also be deployed from any 12 gauge pump-action shotgun. Functions similar to the Live Round in deployment, but does not deliver a Neuro Muscular Incapacitation (NMI).   Available in Orange, as pictured above, to distinguish training round from live round. The XREP Training Round is also Sold in 5 packs* to Law Enforcement Agencies Only.  *not sold individually

 Article: Officer Holmes X3
Ft. Pierce Officer Uses X3 in the Line of Duty

Officer Holmes was working the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Fort Pierce when a fellow officer called out a foot pursuit.  The officer stated he was chasing an individual that had dropped a gun.

The suspect was able to lose the first officer but a tight perimeter had been set.  This was after being exposed to an X26.  It is unclear what happened with this exposure.  Officer Holmes responded and began working the area on foot.  He noticed an open window on a garage.  He contacted the home owner, who said there should be no one in the garage.  Officer Holmes looked into the window and noticed movement under a blanket.  Officer Holmes gave verbal commands to the suspect.  The suspect would not show his hands or come out. Officer Holmes went into the garage through the open window.  The suspect would not come out.  Officer Holmes kicked the blanket back and deployed the X3. 

Officer Holmes then realized the home owner and a second person had entered the garage.  These two individuals were blocking Officer Holmes's way out of the garage.  They were verbally aggressive to Officer Holmes indicating to him they wanted the suspect released.  Officer Holmes turned the X3 to one of the men making sure they saw the two lasers. Officer Holmes made sure the two knew he had two more cartridges and he could expose the suspect again if needed or them. One of the two men made a comment about the TASER saying, "It looked like something from Star Trek."  The suspect told the two men to get out of the way, he did not want to get hit (exposed) again.  The two men moved out of the way.
Officer Holmes moved the suspect out of the garage leaving him connected to the X3. The suspect was taken into custody when back up arrived.

Officer Holmes had the X3 set on semi-auto. He exposed the suspect with the 25 foot cartridge. He had the X3 loaded with two 25 foot cartridges and one 35 foot cartridge.

Officer Holmes said it was a relief knowing he had two more cartridges in this situation. He said without a doubt the suspect would have attempted to get away if he would have had to replace the spent cartridge to confront the other two men.

Officer Holmes has been with the department for 8 years. He is currently assigned to the training unit.

Officer Holmes later learned from the suspect, the home owner gave him permission to hide in the garage. A warrant was issued and later served on this person. The suspect just turned 18 and was already a convicted felon.
